What Does “Faithfulness” Mean To You?
What does “faithfulness” mean to you? Isn’t it great to know God is extremely faithful to us no matter what?
It makes me think of the song, “Great is thy faithfulness”,
Lyrics:
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be
Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me
When I think of the word “faithfulness” it makes me think of being consistent. It touches my heart to know no matter what, God is constant in my life. When in need, He provides. He never quits me nor forsakes me. He doesn’t get tired or weary of my mistakes. God is ever-so present in our lives. He is faithful over the large and over the small.
Unlike God, some seasons in our lives get so difficult that we find ourselves slowing down, pausing and/or quitting completely never able to pick it back up again.
This week consider the areas where you may have taken a pause. This is your answered prayer to get back up and try again. Tap into your faithfulness of God. Allow His consistent nature of truth to give you the strength to re-commit.
This week’s word: Faithfulness
This week’s activity: Get back up! Whatever you’ve stopped or paused, pick it back up.
- Want to be consistent in your morning devotion? Wake up earlier and do it.
