Amber Guyger, Former Dallas Police Officer Who Killed Black Neighbor Gets 10 Years In Prison
Amber Guyger, a former Dallas police officer who killed her unarmed black neighbor after stepping into his apartment and mistaking it for her own, has been sentenced to 10 years in state prison by the same jury that convicted her of murder.
A jury sentenced a former Dallas police officer to 10 years in prison Wednesday for the shooting death of her unarmed neighbor in his home last year. Amber Guyger was convicted of murder by the same jury in the death of Botham Jean.
