Comedian Kevin Hart Brings Car Show To Charlotte
He’s been in the city! Comedian Kevin Hart has been hanging out in the Queen City and for a good reason. He was spotted Tuesday, June 13th shooting for his car show “Kevin Hart’s Muscle Car Crew.”
Community members and bystanders showed up to see the famous comedian film his car show! Surprised? I didn’t expect it either — a car show from a comedian? What can’t he do? But Kevin Hart, the comedian wasn’t the only attention grabber. There were plenty of classic cars and car enthusiasts on the scene as well.
It was cars like the first-generation Mustangs and Charlotte’s car culture that caught the comedian’s attention. The Carolina Regional Mustang Club is proud to get some local and national publicity. They were already fans of the show and now are even more excited to be featured. Hart’s show “Kevin Hearts Muscle Car Crew” first aired on July 2nd, 2021.
In the show, Hart offers a lighthearted look into the world of car collecting with his crew. Fellow cast members include Lucky Costa & Will “Spank” Horton. The show is available on Apple TV, Amazon, and Vudu. And there are also highlights on YouTube.
According to the Motortrend’s website, “Kevin Hart’s Muscle Car Crew” is revving up for a bigger audience. (motortrend.com). A couple of years ago, Hart decided to buy each of his closest friends their dream car. That group of friends known as The Plastic Cup Boyz, decided because they all had cool classic cars and needed an excuse to spend more time together, they should form a car club.
Thus was the beginning of “Kevin Hart’s Muscle Car Crew”. The show has grown in popularity so Season 2 is already in the works. The show will launch on the Roku Channel, according to the channel’s website. Roku is partnering with MotorTrend and Hartbeat (Hart’s own media company) to produce it as an Original series.
Season two of “Kevin Hart’s Muscle Car Crew” follows Kevin and the Plastic Cup Boyz as they decide to open their own car restoration garage in the Atlanta area. Viewers will see the crew’s journey to learn everything they can about car culture with the goal of opening their own brick-and-mortar spot.
Here is a look at some ‘cool cars’.
