In an Instagram story, Al B Sure shared, “Nothing breaks a dad more than seeing his love for his kids turned into a weapon against him." There was nothing to follow the cryptic message, so fans began to speculate what he was referencing.
Popular blog page, The Neighborhood Talk, shared the post and social media users began to give their opinions on Al B Sure and his relationship with his kids. "Where was this energy when Quincy wrote that open letter about his absence 15 years ago?," said one user. Another also commented about his absence in his children's lives. "All of Al sons said he was absent. So he needs to stop. You failed Quincy."
Al B Sure and His Relationship With Son, Quincy
Following the arrest of Diddy, who Quincy relates as his father, Al B Sure has been heavily active on social media. He addresses his kids and relationship with Quincy and that Diddy may have been part of the problem for their distance.
In a recent interview, Quincy spoke on his relationship with his biological father, Al B Sure. “We cool now. I just talked to him a couple days ago. He was congratulating me on the album,” said Quincy on Angela Yee's Lip Service. "I think we got a cool relationship. He tends to try and do the dad thing a lot but it’s like, that’s not really where we’re at in life. We homies more than anything... We can talk about anything and everything. It’s not about anything else.”
Over the years, many have known that Quincy has been closer to Diddy as a father figure. Following his arrest, Quincy has been adamant about showing love to Diddy and acknowledging his innocence. In a social media post from October, Quincy posted a family photo with Diddy and all of his siblings. "The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media. We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD."
