Most sports fans know him by his Carolina Panthers number – 58. NFL legend Thomas Davis, Sr. is venturing into new territory that is beyond the gridiron. He’s opening the TEN58 Sports Bar and Lounge in Charlotte,  NC.

TEN58 was originally set to open just before the Panthers kicked off their season back in September. But, Davis says they are now prepared to open on November 17 in uptown Charlotte. The bar is located at 430 W. Fourth Street, which is formerly Taproom Social space.

Davis told CLT Five, “…it’s going to be one of the hottest spots in Charlotte.” Davis say the bar and restaurant will be fully owned and operated by him, adding that he’s putting his own personal touch to the venue. The explanation of the name “TEN58” Sports Bar: 10 was his jersey number in college when he played for the Georgia Bulldogs. And 58 was, of course, his  number for the Panthers. Davis played 16 seasons in the NFL, before retiring from football in 2021.

The former linebacker says he wants to make certain the TEN58 will be the go-to spot for “a nice game day experience.” And not just for Panthers fans, but for all Carolina teams, including Carolina Football Club, Charlotte Hornets and Charlotte Checkers.  He says even George Bulldog fans will love his place.

TEN58 will open 6pm, November 17 and according to Davis will offer great music, food and a great vibe.
