Another popular discount store in North Carolina is shutting its doors. Tuesday Morning announced (April 27) it's going out of business and will close all of its 200 remaining stores.

According to The Dallas Morning News, Tuesday Morning, Corporation, based in Texas, was officially sold. Hilco Merchant Resources shelled out over $32 million for the company. And perhaps it was a good thing since Tuesday Morning has been struggling for the past few months.

The Discount retailer had already filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and said it would be closing over half of its stores. They've closed some 250 stores. Executives soon learned they would not be able to keep their heads about water. And made the decision to discontinue business and shut down its remaining stores.

If you'd never been to a Tuesday Morning store, you missed out on plenty of unique and sometimes high-end home items. It offers everything from rugs, kitchen utensils, items for the bathroom, dining, living and even accent furniture. Over 200 Tuesday Morning stores are still open as of now, but they are slated to shut down in the coming months.

The retailer has listed the stores that will close on it's website  Seventeen stores have closed in North Carolina and six in South Carolina.  For the Tuesday Morning locations set to close, The Dallas Morning News reports those stores will hold going -out-of-business sales soon.

Shoppers in Tuesday Morning's home state of Texas are losing the most locations by far. Some 59 stores will close there soon. However, it's not too late to hit up stores still open in the Carolinas.
