By beats1/ShutterstockIf you're a lover of ice cream, you'll be happy to know the popular Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is opening another location in Charlotte. Jeni's already has three locations in the Queen City, but will open a new one in south Charlotte in the Blakeney Town Center.
Jeni's new location is located at 9828 Rea Road. It opens in January 2023. The grand opening of the new space is January 12, 7-11 p.m. and the exciting news is during that time, you can get free scoops of ice cream. And that's not all. The first 50 people in line get swag bags filled with extra goodies.
The ice cream selection includes some of Jeni's classic flavors including Brambleberry Crisp and Salty Caramel. There will be seasonal flavors, too, such as Blackout Chocolate Cake and Goat Cheese with Red Cherries.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams has been one of the most popular ice cream shops in town. In my opinion, it's because of their unique, one-of-a-kind flavors. All inspired by the curiosity of its founder Jeni Britton Bauer. Jeni was a 22-year-old art and history student fascinated with scents. She experimented with blending her own oils. As stated on her website, once she added cayenne to some chocolate ice cream and took a bite. And the rest is history.
