Two Shark Bites Reported At South Carolina’s Most Popular Beach
If you are headed to South Carolina for a beach weekend, you may want to be careful. Reports of two shark bites at one of South Carolina’s most popular beaches have happened. According to an article on ABC News, two swimmers were able to survive being bitten by sharks in Myrtle Beach.
Both people were attacked in Myrtle Beach with two separate shark bites. One of the attacks caused serious injury and the other a not as serious bite to the leg, according to police. Both attacks were about a half-mile apart in the ocean. Officials are unaware if the attacks were related.
The woman that was bit in the forearm apparently needed hundreds of stitches for her injuries. She tells reporters that she was in waist-deep water with her grandchild when the shark came out of nowhere and bit her in the forearm. She and her grandson have decided to switch around their vacation plans as they no longer want to be in the water after the incident.
