There’s A Cream Cheese Shortage And Kraft Wants To Pay You $20 NOT To Use Its Cheesecake Staple
Since the pandemic, there has been a number of shortages. Everything from coins to chicken wings have come up short. The shortage of cream cheese is the latest. But, it comes with a twist. The makers of Philadelphia cream cheese is offering $20 to customers who DON’T use their creamy spread to have dessert.
Kraft admits it’s had a hard time getting the cream cheese on shelves, which translates to fewer cheesecakes on the table this holiday. So, Kraft says it will pay customers to purchase another dessert instead. Their thought is since there may be fewer cheesecakes on the table this holiday, it doesn’t mean you have to do without that holiday feeling. Kraft wants families to still celebrate, even if it’s through other desserts. Their mantra: If you can’t spread Philly, spread the feeling.
Under their promotion, Kraft plans to reimburse 18,000 people $20 each for a holiday dessert through its Philadelphia Spread The Feeling offer. Beginning December 17, customers can reserve their spot to claim a limited dessert reservation. Once confirmed, customers will get a link to buy any dessert through December 24. Be sure to hang on to the receipt to redeem your $20 digital reward.
Now, that’s the spirit of “Giving”!!
