The cases of COVID-19 continue to climb in the Charlotte area. At last report, nearly 80,000 residents have contracted the virus in Mecklenburg County; some 721 have died. But screening and testing are available. The service is free at the locations below.

Screening Information

Screening and testing is done for those who have the following symptoms:

  • Fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, repeated shaking with chills; muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste and smell, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea
  • If you have been exposed to or had contact with large crowds, you can be tested. It is best to be tested 4 to 7 days after you have had contact with a large crowd.
