Singer H.E.R. Performs & Makes A Stand On Social Justice On ‘Saturday Night Live’ (VIDEO)
Grammy-winner singer and multi-talented artist H.E.R. (Having Everything Revealed) killed it over the weekend performing two songs on Saturday Night Live. The firs song was “Damage” – sampled from Janet Jackson’s “Making Love In The Rain”.
And in H.E.R.’s second song “Hold On”, she showed off her guitar skills. H.E.R., whose real name is Gabriella Wilson, didn’t disappoint by showing her support of social justice. She and her band wore shirts with the hashtag “#EndSARS“ on them. It’s a campaign that aims to stop police brutality in Nigeria. SARS stands for “Special Anti-Robbery Squad”. They are a brass unit of Nigeria’s law enforcement) who gained international attention when law officers shot at two peace protests, killing a dozen people earlier this year.
