‘Fleabag,’ ‘Game Of Thrones,’ Billy Porter Among Big Emmy Winners – See The Winners List
That HBO’s Game Of Thrones won a dozen Emmys this year, including Outstanding Drama Series was no big surprise; there was a lot of goodwill towards the ambitious fantasy series in its last season, which seemed to overshadow some questionable storylines in the show’s last episodes.
What was a bit more surprising was that the Amazon series Fleabag won four awards, including a major upset winner for best comedy. The show’s star, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, won two awards.
There were some great moments for LGBTQ rights, including Billy Porter’s win for Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role in Pose, and RuPaul’s Drag Race, which won Outstanding Reality Competition Series.
