Charlotte Police Warn Women Of Potential Sexual Predator On The Loose
Who in the world in going around and breaking in to people’s homes and sexually assaulting women in west and northwest Charlotte?
That’s the question Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking. They say a man described as black, about 5’9″ – 6 feet tall, thin and wearing a mask is accused of doing. Police say they are looking into four cases that are potentially related.
Police say two of the cases happened Monday (August 12th) morning in homes on Forestbrook Drive. Both victims described the suspect as having on similar clothes and did similar acts while in their homes.
And then there were two other sexual assaults police say also happened early Monday morning. This time on Hoskins Ridge Lane. In one case, a woman says she woke up to find a man in her bedroom touching her buttocks. He left out her front door after she woke up.
In another case at an apartment on Springmont Lane, a woman says she woke up to find a man standing over her. She yelled and he ran out of the front door. In those cases, police say the women the described the man wearing similar clothing.
Anyway, police are looking for him. They aren’t sure yet if any of the cases are related.
In the meantime, police are beefing up patrols and encouraging folks, women especially to make sure they lock their doors and windows and avoid going out alone. Of course, if you see anything suspicious, you should call 911.
