In honor of National Wine And Cheese Day (Thursday – July 25th) I have one of my favs in mind for you to try. I usually like dark, red wines that are full-bodied with a bit of a bite, but lately because of all the hot weather, I’ve been sipping on Lambruscos. Lambrusco is sparkling red wine that could be dry, semi dry or sweet. You can get them just about anywhere they sell wines from Target to Total Wine.

One of my favorite Lambrusco wines is Lini 910 “Labrusca” Lambrusco Rosso. I’ve had it with everything from pizza to steak.

Now you can’t have a good wine without a phenomenal cheese. My go-to is pretty simple and when I’m in a ‘chill mood’. I love a nice Havarti Dill cheese with a nice wheat thin cracker, or if I’m feeling really fancy, I’ll have cheese on a rosemary and olive cracker. That combination makes my mouth happy.

No matter what wine you drink or cheese you choose to pair it with, National Wine and Cheese Day is  meant to celebrate getting together with friends or family and having fun. So here’s to “HAVING FUN” and “ENJOYING LIFE”!! Drink up (in moderation, of course)
