South Carolina Coach Dawn Staley Rocks $9,000 Outfit And Wins Championship
South Carolina coach Dawn Staley is used to being on top which is why she chose to rock a $9,000 outfit and won the championship.
According to Newsbreak, Staley has earned the name “Louis Vuitton Dawn” because of her fly style. She is known to show up looking her best and the national championship game was no exception. She was definitely ‘dripping.’ Her entire outfit was Louis Vuitton, right down to her shoes and pants. It’s estimated to have cost more than $10,000.
Of course, none of this is as important as the feat she accomplished. She led her team to a perfect, undefeated season 38-0. And she led the Gamecocks to win three national championships after they beat Iowa 87-75.
Now back to her outfit. I’m a sucker for ‘fly’ gear and Staley definitely represented well, having both flare and swag. Let’s start first with the jacket. It’s not even listed on the Louis Vuitton website anymore, but Newsbreak journalist Grayson Weir did some digging and learned she was sporting the ‘Graphic Accent Silver Calfskin’ jacket, which used to run about $5,365.
He couldn’t find pants she wore, but when researching Louis Vuitton drawstring pants, they ran about $1,250.
And let’s not forget about the shoes! Yes, the ones that actually glitter. According to Weir, they are a prize for true sneakerheads. They were designed by Tyler the Creator.
Staley’s kicks are extremely rare and highly coveted among sneakerheads. They were actually designed by Tyler, the Creator – who is also a rapper, producer, singer/songwriter and fashion designer. In the end, Staley put together a ‘winning’ look — literally.
- Jacket: $5,365
- Pants: $1,250 (at least)
