South Carolina Restaurant Serving One of Guy Fieri’s Favorite Classics

When it comes to food, we know the Food Network is going to tell us some of the best places to go. Not only do they have tons of shows that show us where to go, but they also have some of the greatest chefs for us to look at. Guy Fieri is one of the top chefs with tons of shows on the Food Network. We’re talking Guy’s Grocery Games, Tournament of Champions, and of course, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dive.

On the famous Diner, Drive-Ins, and Dives, Guy Fieri checks out some of the greatest restaurants across the country. From small mom-and-pop spots to bigger restaurants that have multiple locations in some cities. For years, he is giving us tons of places to check out and of course, he has been to the Carolinas tons of times. Well, the Food Network has a list of Guy’s favorite classic dishes from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. One South Carolina spot made the list as one of his favorite classics. The chili cheeseburger from Beacon Drive-In located in Spartanburg, South Carolina made the top. The drive-in serves up to 20,000 customers a week, so you know it has to be good. Their chili cheeseburger is one of their top sellers and Guy Fieri’s classic dish he has.

The Beacon Drive-In is also serving up other classics that you can enjoy such as: fried chicken finger salad, livers or gizzards, sliced country ham, fried okra, fried ham, catfish, whole fry, and MORE! If you haven’t been to this spot in Spartanburg, then you might want to plan a little trip and head there!

  • Nigel's Good Food

    Now, as a girl born and raised in Charleston, Nigel’s Good Food is one of those spots everyone enjoys. Since the day they opened, Nigel’s has been serving up some of our favorites in Charleston. They have two different locations in the Charleston area and you can enjoy them both whenever you’re in town. Their Geechie wings are one of the top-selling items we all love. Wings tossed in their signature Geechie sauce, nothing tastes better! You can also get favorites such as fried green tomatoes, creamy grits, chicken and waffles, fried shrimp, and MORE!

  • Bertha's Kitchen

    Big, Bertha! Yeah, next time you are in Charleston take a trip to Bertha’s Kitchen. This family owned spot is one of our favorites to enjoy. They are known for having some of the best fried chicken in the state of South Carolina. Yes, the entire state! The line is always long and the food is always good. You can enjoy some of Bertha’s favorites like pork chops, collard greens, and your classic soul food favorites!

  • Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ

    Now, if it’s one spot we all know about whether you’re in South Carolina or North Carolina is Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ. He has been on many shows and brought attention to the great BBQ of South Carolina. Scott is known for having the BEST barbecue as he smokes his meat slow and low. You can also enjoy some of your favorite dishes like pork sandwiches, ribs, smoked wings, and so much more!
