North Carolina City One of the Friendliest Cities in the U.S.

Hello, how are you? I know that is probably what we hear hundreds of times. It's almost like the first thing you say to people when you meet them or see them. Whether that is a stranger you're standing near at the elevator, the server at the coffee shop, or those you work with every day. It's one of the more friendly things people say to those around to show a bit of friendliness. You don't want someone to think you're rude or anything. Now, when you're not in the South that can certainly look a little different. When you're talking about the friendliest cities in the South, of course, you know all of the cities are probably going to be in the South. The friendliest cities in the U.S. done by The Travel were determined by many factors including compliments to strangers, holding doors, and giving directions that are completely normal in that city. But, can you guess what Carolina cities made the list? Well, Charlotte, of course! Charlotte was named one of the friendliest cities in the U.S. On the list of 10, Charlotte came in at lucky #5. Not only is Charlotte friendly, but it is also known as one of the best cities to live in America. Charlotte has so much to offer to visitors from things like great restaurants, beautiful parks, sporting events, and more! You can be here for a few days or a few years and you'll meet plenty of people who are nice and compliment you through and through. Another Carolina city that made the list coming in at #4 is Charleston, South Carolina. We know that Charleston is one of those places that is truly the definition of southern hospitality. You can meet people that will help you with directions, take photos for you, give money to those in need, and even turn into your best friends for the weekend. I may be a bit bias as a Charleston native, but it's all still true!  Check out the full list here to see what other cities made the friendliest cities list.
