An 8-year-old girl who loved Tik Tok and playing outside won’t get to do that anymore. Ah’miyahh Howell was gunned down as she played in her front yard in Statesville. Police don’t know yet who did it.
It was a normal sunny day in a neighborhood when Ah’miyahh was killed when a car drove past spraying bullets. She was an innocent bystander. And sadly enough, Statesville police say just after Ah’miyahh was fatally shot, two other children were also injured in another possible drive-by shooting in a nearby neighborhood.
As of this writing, police have not made any arrests and are asking for the public’s help to find suspected shooters. Police do not believe any of the children harmed were intended targets. Police do ask anyone with information to contact them at 704-662-1340 or 704-878-3406.
