Now You Can Shoe Shop Where You Buy Groceries
It’s a dream come true for fashionista’s who are looking to multi-task domestic duties. Shoe retailer DSW is making shoes available in select Hy-Vee grocery stores. Hy-Vee stores have not made their way to the Carolinas, but they are a part of a new trend where grocery shoppers can pick up a pair of new shoes along with their eggs or milk.
That’s thanks to DSW, that has more than 500 stores around the country. The shoe railer is opening mini shops inside the Hy-Vee grocery chain. It’s a unique partnership designed to reach consumers where they are shopping the most. The DSW shop will be at the front of the Hy-Vee grocery store. It will be stocked with up to 3,000 pairs of branded shoes.
A digital display will feature a variety of show styles. If a shopper sees a style they like on the display, the shopper will be able to scan the QR code of the shoe using their phone, order it online and have it delivered to their home or pick up from a DSW store or the Hy-Vee location.
A total of six DSW shops are due to launch in Minneapolis by the end of September. The plan is to have a dozen more in 2021.
