Machine Gun Kelly Disses Jack Harlow In ‘Renegade Freestyle’

Jack Harlow’s newest album Jackman, which was released last month, has gotten the attention of Machine Gun Kelly. On Harlow’s song “They Don’t Love It,” the rapper declared himself the “hardest white boy since the one who rapped about vomit and sweaters.”

Kelly decided to make a diss track using Jay-Z’s 2001 hit “Renegade.”

“I’m a great white I can eat these barracuda / See who I am? You’re stupid, it’s nice to meet you / I just put this hole in the ground for you like a soccer cleat shoe / I see why they call you Jackman, you jacked man’s whole swag / Give Drake his flow back, man, I eat rappers like Pac-Man / Must I regurgitate and show you who’s in my stomach / From the Last Dance? I battle rapped, no Instagrams,” raps Kelly.

Last year, Kelly said that he’s never “departed, left or switched” from rap despite going into punk and pop music recently.

“I’m talented as f— and I added on to my catalog of four great rap albums,” he said to The Hollywood Reporter last year. “So what I did was I added on, never departed, left or switched. Because in the same year I was the most viewed YouTube video putter-outer with all rap, which was my lockdown sessions, which gained more views than almost any of my other videos. And it was hundreds of millions of views of me rapping.”

Harlow hasn’t responded to Kelly’s diss.

Jackman came as a complete surprise to fans as Harlow announced the project just two days before the release date. The rapper named the album after his full first name, which is, in fact, Jackman. The project is only 24 minutes. It is the definition of a solo effort since the rapper did not have any featured artist on the album.

  'Sweet Action' is Harlow's second EP which was released in 2020. This song was an early introduction to some of his fans. Out of the songs on this project, "I Wanna See Some A--" was second in command in terms of overall popularity in Harlow's discography. While it didn't take the No. 1 spot amongst fans it definitely showed that Harlow could make a project that could support the the hit, "Whats Poppin." The flirty wordplay on ""I Wanna See Some A--" made it a staple on the six-song project.

  "SUVs (Black on Black)" is found on Pooh Shiesty's 'Shiesty Season' which dropped in 2021. The record followed Harlow's explosive feature on Lil Nas X's "Industry Baby" and showed his versatility with Pooh Shiesty on this track. Harlow showed that he could easily flow on his peers' songs as a supporting act. The song peaked at No. 18 on Billboard's US Rhythmic chart and No. 67 on the Billboard Hot 100.

  "Nail Tech" was Harlow's first drop of 2022 which was later featured on his second studio album 'Come Home The Kids Miss You.' The music video features the City Girls. The Kentucky-bred emcee raps about his luxurious lifestyle and how people doubted him in hip-hop. The track debuted at No. 4 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart which was his highest debut entry at the time of release without an accompanying act.

  Harlow's debut album 'Thats What They All Say' dropped in 2020. The album debuted and peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. "Tyler Herro" is named after the Miami Heat player which he pays homage to also in the song with the line, "My homeboy Tyler he play in South Beach/He told me this summer he gon’ fix my jumper," Harlow raps. During an NBA the following year, Herro actually gifted Harlow his jersey after beating the New York Knicks, per Clutch Points. The track debuted and peaked at number 34 on the Hot 100.

  Lil Nas X enlisted Harlow for his Grammy-nominated track "Industry Baby." The track is featured on Lil Nas X's debut 'Montero' album. The song debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and then rose to No. 1 the following week marking Harlow's first No. 1 on the chart and Lil Nas X's third. Harlow earned a nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance for "Industry Baby" at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.

  When you think about rappers shooting their shot in songs, Harlow's "Dua Lipa" fits the bill. However, unlike many artists who surprise women with their name-dropping, Harlow reached out to the "Levitating" songstress for approval. Fans believed that Harlow manifested a relationship with the singer because after the song dropped, the two were romantically linked. "Dua Lipa" peaked at No. 8 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 21 on US Billboard Hot 100.

"It hurt my feelings," he said about the track getting leaked per Complex. "I’m really tight about leaks. I don’t bounce my music so I haven’t had leaks in a long time." The track debuted at No. 9 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Churchill Downs" earned the rapper a nomination for "Best Rap Song" at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.

  There was no way you were on social media last year and didn't scroll by a video that didn't feature Harlow's "First Class." Harlow samples Fergie's 2006 hit "Glamorous" and performed it with the singer at the 2022 VMAs. "First Class" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 making the rapper's first solo No. 1 entry and second overall. The record peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 making it the highest charting rap song of 2022. Harlow earned a nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.

  Everyone is loving Harlow's 2023 hit as it's been a trending sound for several weeks on TikTok. "Lovin On Me" is Harlow's third No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song samples Cadillac Dale's "Whatever (Bass Solique)" which was released in 1995. The Kentucky native's other two No. 1 hits were "First Class" in 2022 and his feature on Lil Nas X's "Industry Baby," in 2021. He thanked his fans on X for the support shortly after the release at "Lovin On Me" marks a "new era" for his career.
