Makeda’s Cookies Plans To Name Young Dolph’s Favorite Cookie After Him
Makeda’s Cookies has reopened and is planning to name Young Dolph’s favorite cookie after the late rapper.
Makeda’s Cookies in downtown Memphis has been closed for the past couple of days following the tragic death of Young Dolph who was killed in their second location in Airways Wednesday. Makeda’s Cookies in Airways will be closed for the remainder of the year but the shop’s owners would like to honor Dolph’s legacy by renaming his favorite cookie, their chocolate chip, after him.
The rapper who was a big fan of the bakery in his hometown continuously boasted about their cookies. “That was one thing that Dolph did, he used to get off that expressway and be like, ‘I could smell y’all getting off the expressway, I had to come in!” recalled one employee to WERG. “Man, to know that we’re not gonna see that face anymore is– I’m sorry, I’m trying to hold back tears right now.”
Young Dolph’s death is still under investigation.
