His birth name is Dalvin Degrate, but the R&B community knows him as one-quarter of the popular group Jodeci. His stage name is Mr. Dalvin. He's been credited as not only a singer but producer, songwriter, and rapper.

I had the opportunity to sit down and chat a bit with him. He stopped by to say thank you to Jodeci fans for all their support during the recent concert in Charlotte.

Mr. Dalvin talked about Jodeci's next big project which is a biopic. He says they've been taking their time getting it completed because they want to make sure it's done right. He says it will be a deep dive into the life of Jodeci which includes the good, the bad, and the ugly. No date is set yet for the biopic.

In the meantime, there were a few burning questions I had for Mr. Dalvin. He and his brother Devante Swing would go on to join brothers K-Ci and JoJo to form the R&B group Jodeci in 1989. However, I was curious to know just how Mr. Dalvin actually met K-Ci and his brother.

And then there was the question about his love life. Both responses were rather surprising. Check it out.
