Lil Durk On Gunna’s YSL RICO Plea Deal: ‘That Man Told’
Lil Durk believes that Gunna snitched on YSL in order to get a plea deal for the RICO case. Durkio sat down with gossip blogger DJ Akademiks to express his opinion on the matter.
“I don’t sit up here and play games,” he said. “That man told. You should have went in there and kept your mouth closed.”
“If you rewind the clip a little bit, I looked into the camera and I told you, if you a rat, I f—— hate you,” Durk added. “Because I love Thug.”
Gunna has made it clear that he has not snitched in order for him to get out of jail. The Atlanta rapper published a statement after his December 2022 release.
“I have chosen to end my own RICO case with an Alford plea and end my personal ordeal by publicly acknowledging my association with YSL,” the rapper said in a written statement provided to ABC News back in December by his attorney Steve Sadow. “An Alford plea in my case is the entry of a guilty plea to the one charge against me, which is in my best interest, while at the same time maintaining my innocence toward the same charge.”

Gunna’s legal team has also backed up his claim.
“Gunna has never been interviewed by or cooperated with law enforcement or prosecutors in the RICO case. Nor have his attorneys proffered information on his behalf,” journalist Jewel Wicker tweeted last month. “What was said at his Alford plea hearing was solely to resolve his own case. It cannot be used by the prosecution against Young Thug or any other defendant.”
However, Akademiks says that Gunna is ready to get back into music.
“I think he’s cooked up an album. From what I heard, he has an album ready,” Akademiks said while on Livestream per HotNewHipHop. “He has an album discussing a bunch of s—. He’s got an album, he’s got some s— to say. But there’s nobody down to stand with him.”
