As the largest city in the Tar Heel State, there is always new construction adding to the city’s skyline. That ‘new’ construction includes everything from high-rise condominiums to sleek restaurants. Novelty House Rooftop – Uptown Charlotte, 5th Floor
It’s a modern on top of the Binaco Tower in Uptown Charlotte. Novelty House Rooftop is a modern and beautiful rooftop bar, with a bright and open-air terrace. You’ll likely be wowed by the plethora of flowers on the walls and above. It’s the perfect spot for after-work cocktails, champagnes, local beers and more. It does offer private events for rental. And on set nights, there’s a live DJ!
Aura Rooftop – Uptown Charlotte
Located on the 5th floor of the JW Marriott Charlotte in Uptown, Aura Rooftop is a beautiful escape from the city buzz. It’s terrace is bright and chic and divided into two sections: the Aura Rooftop Bar and the Aura Rooftop Pool. Oh, and we can’t forget the pool area. It is available to guests staying at the hotel, or by reservations.
Merchant & Trade – 19th Floor, Third Ward
Merchant & Trade is a swanky rooftop bar and lounge on top of Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel in Uptown Charlotte. It’s stylish and modern and has a sexy and sophisticated vibe. It has both an indoor bar, outdoor terrace, private terrace and the lawn. What makes it so special is the panoramic views of the city’s skyline. Perched on the 18th floor of the Le Meredien Charlotte, Cloud Bar by David Burke is one of the few rooftop bars in Charlotte with a complete 360-degree view. It is one of the highest rooftops in the city. Sit here and have crafted and refreshing signature cocktails, a selection of beers and light bites from celebrity chef David Burke. The atmosphere is fun trendy. It offers live music weekly.
This is one of the more popular and trendy rooftop bars in Charlotte. It sits on the 21st floor of the Hyatt Place in uptown. The rooftop bar serves up specialty cocktails along with a sexy, chill vibe, and a panoramic view over the city. The restaurant serves up its own flavor of incredible bites and entrees prepared by Chef Rocco Whalen. Your meal can be complimented by an extensive wine list and local beers. There’s even a Sunday brunch menu to close out your weekend.
