North Carolina Car Thief Found Hiding In Trash Can
Can you imagine you’re sitting at a stop light when an armed man approaches you with a gun demanding you get out of your car? You oblige, of course, and he takes the police on a chase. He ends up crashing the stolen vehicle and slamming into another car carrying a woman and child.
This is the scenario that played out in east Charlotte Tuesday afternoon. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were called and spotted the suspect. A chase ensured. The suspect ended up crashing the stolen car into another vehicle. A mother and child were in that car. Fortunately, neither of them was hurt.
As for the suspect, police say he took off on foot. Police used K-9 dogs to sniff out the suspect. They found him. Inside a recycle trash can.
The suspect was arrested without further incident. Police say they also found a handgun inside the stolen vehicle.
The investigation continues.
