Have you ever seen a tractor chase? It happened this week in Boone, NC where a man took police on a miles-long chase while in a tractor -- as in a farm tractor.

I didn't think it was possible to actually have to 'chase' after a tractor. Have you ever been behind an actual tractor? Is there really a need for a chase? Well, see for yourself in the video below.

And here's the story behind it. Police were called after someone reported a man on a tractor was driving erratically. They say he was in a parking lot and trying to hit pedestrians. The man, whom police have identified as Ronnie Hicks, did hit several vehicles, a dumpster, and a church with the tractor.

Police say Hicks was intentionally driving the tractor into on-coming traffic on Highway 421 and even rammed a Boone Police vehicle. After using several tactics to stop Hicks, a police officer was finally able to shoot out one of the tractor tires while on an isolated road. Hicks turned into a private drive and ran out of road.

Once stopped, police say Hicks then jumped off the tractor and was waving a knife. A Boone officer used a taser and Hicks was taken into custody without injury to anyone involved.
