Beyonce First Black Woman To Wear World’s Largest Yellow Diamonds (PHOTO)
R&B superstar Beyonce has already made history musically — winning 28 Grammys. Now, she’s made fashion history becoming the first Black woman to wear an iconic Tiffany diamond sized at 128.54 carats.
Beyonce is wearing the jewelry as part of Tiffany & Co.’s “About Love” campaign. The campaign also features hubby Jay-Z. It’s the first time the diamond has been featured in an advertising campaign. As part of the partnership, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have also filmed a video that will feature Beyoncé’s rendition of “Moon River.” The song was made famous in the 1961 movie “Breakfast At Tiffany’s.”
Of course, the diamond is not for sale, but Tiffany & Co has agreed to donate $2 million towards scholarship and internship programs for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
The “About Love” campaign, launches globally on September 2.
