Dr. Dre’s Eldest Daughter Says She’s Homeless, Living Out Of Car
Dr. Dre’s eldest daughter, LaTanya Young, 38, says she’s homeless and lives out of a rental car although her rap mogul father is worth an estimated net worth of $800 million per Daily Mail.
Young is a single mother-of-four and works as a delivery driver for DoorDash, UberEats and as an assembler at a warehouse and claims she can not afford an apartment in California and as a result, has ended up living in a rental vehicle.
The 38-year-old has reportedly asked her producer father for money but hasn’t gotten a dime out of him in over 18 months. The mother-of-four revealed that she hasn’t seen her father in 18 years and doesn’t even have his cellphone number and has to contact him through his team.
LaTanya is Dr. Dre’s daughter with Lisa Johnson who split when LaTanya was five years old.
LaTanya is the mother of Tatiyana, 16, Rhiana, 13, D’Andre, eight, who is named after his grandfather, and Jason III, three, and she says they are not living in the car with her.
“My kids are staying with friends – they are not living in the car, it’s just me,” she told DailyMail.
“The car is a pretty penny,” she said. “It’s an SUV that costs $2,300 for three weeks and I only paid for one week. Sooner or later they are going to take the car.”
She added that it pains her that her children have never met their famous grandfather.
“I’m just trying to communicate with him and see if he wants to talk to his grandkids,” she said. “My kids are old enough to know who he is. They are in shock that he doesn’t want anything to do with them.”
“I feel like I’m damned if I do, I’m damned if I don’t,” she said in relation to trying to speak out about her father.
“I’m homeless and I’ve been reaching out to my dad for help,” she said. “His lawyer has said that my dad doesn’t want to help me because I’ve spoken about him in the press.”
As of now, Dr. Dre has yet to speak out about his daughter’s current financial situation.
