Get Broadway Tickets Like Hamilton As Blumenthal Performing Arts Prepares To Reopen
If you’ve been itching to get back to the arts, there is good news. The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center plans to reopen it’s doors soon.
Since the pandemic started last March, the Center had to completely shut down and the city has lost nearly $50 million because of it. The CEO of Blumenthal Tom Gabbard says he expects to bring Broadway back to the Queen City by the end of August 2021.
He anticipates by then the theatre will be able to fill every seat. He admits that’s really the only way for them to make money, but they will be cautious when reopening. The Center has already started major improvements in their buildings including beefing up their heating and air conditioning units to circulate fresh air.
Gabbards says the employees are ready to get back to work seeing as though Blumenthal had to lay off 176 part-time employees and 40 full-time workers.
What performances can you look forward to? Musical winners like Wicked, Hamilton, 1776 and RENT are just a few shows lined up for the 2021 season. Season tickets are on sale now.
