JT of The City Girls Says Jail Time Humbled Her: ‘I Had To Swallow My Pride’
JT of the City Girls recently reflected upon her life since being released from prison last October. On Wednesday (Mar. 4), JT took to Twitter to discuss how her prison stint changed her life.
“I’m so proud of myself, I completed my sentence. No gain time lost, no set backs. It was so many times I had to swallow my pride,” JT said in a now-deleted tweet.
“Letting complete strangers control me, my money or status couldn’t save me. God really put me in that position to humble me cause I was reckless.”
As we previously reported, last October JT was transferred from FCI Tallahassee to a halfway house in Greater Atlanta. The “Act Up” rapper was incarcerated in 2018 due to felony charges regarding identity theft and credit card fraud.
JT was slated to be released in 2020. However, she was let out of prison early.
