The Queens MC is currently writing a children’s book titled I Know I Can, which is a nod to his 2002 inspirational single “I Can.”
On Thursday, June 13 the rapper made the announcement via Instagram. “My first kids book is on the way,” Nas wrote, noting that he and Mass Appeal have launched a kids brand called MAJR.
The company’s slogan is “Education starts in the crib.”
Nas and Mass Appeal both posted photos of the apparent book cover on Instagram, and the book series is also listed on MAJR’s official website as part of a series “empowering kids to be whatever they want to be when they grow up.”
“Our mission is to inspire future generations through the creation of unique toys, apparel, and innovative learning tools. Major is here to reflect the diverse hues of both the modern family and popular culture, because education starts in the crib,” MAJR’s mission statement reads.
I Know I Can has yet to receive a release date, but Nas can be caught on tour this summer trekking the nation alongside Mary. J. Blige for their North American tour, which kicks off on July 11.
