T.I. Blasts TMZ For Reporting His Sister’s Cause Of Death
On Thursday, T.I. blasted TMZ for reporting on the cause of death of his older sister, Precious Harris.
The Atlanta rapper took to Instagram to chastise the publication over reporting that the Fulton County medical examiner found cocaine in Harris’ system.
“Y’all been profiting off of people pain,” T.I. said. “Y’all are putting information out there that really disrupts their grieving process. But for the most part, what we do is, we look the other way. You know why? Because those people are celebrities. Ain’t nobody feel sorry for celebrities they rich. They live the life that they want, they live the way that nobody else can live. Why should we feel sorry for them? Yeah, I get that.”
The “No Mediocre” rapper’s sister, who was 66-years-old, died in February. She was reportedly taken off life support after falling unconscious while driving T.I.’s Dodge Avenger. The car veered off the road and hit a telephone pole.
Once T.I. went off about the story online, TMZ then issued an apology, changed the story to an obituary, and said that their own reporting was “inappropriate and wrong.” The publication also stated that they regret posting the medical examiner’s findings.
