Google Says People Searched The Most About Hurricane Irma, NFL Anthem Protests and Cardi B.
If you’ve ever wondered just what people are curious to know more about, Google can help you out with that. Google has released it’s annual list of the most popular searches, giving you an idea of what people are really thinking about.
This year, according to Google, people were apparently fascinated one of the most powerful storms on record, the devastating Hurricane Irma. They were also curious about Cardi B. and Unicorn Frappuccinos.
The top trending searches in the U.S. were Irma, Matt Lauer, Tom Petty, the Super Bowl and the Las Vegas shooting.
There were high profile men accused of sexual misconduct that were among the most searched for people in the U.S. They include Lauer, Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey and Bill O’Reilly.
And how about the most searched for protests in the U.S.The NFL national anthem protests topped that category.
Outside of all the news and other drama, there was good news people wanted to know about, too. They include the solar eclipse, Starbucks’ Unicorn Frappuccino and even Meghan Markle – you know she just got engaged to Prince Harry.
The most googled movie was “It,” Stephen King’s horror classic about a menacing killer clown.
And the Netflix show “13 Reasons Why” was a top TV show search in the U.S. and around the world. And it was the sixth most popular overall search globally.
