North Carolina your help is needed! It’s easy and for a great cause. Is there any better procrastination for the day they looking at cute baby animals? I think not. And the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher has three adorable baby otters that they need help naming. The pups are Asian small-clawed otters and are all females. The aquarium gave some information about each pup on their website to help voters get to know them before choosing a name.
Pup #1
This otter is described as being sassy. She is also the largest. They say she often has a grumpy look on her face and snorts at her mom and the aquarium staff when they weigh and measure her.
Pup #2
Number 2 is the smallest of the animals but that doesn’t mean she’s getting overlooked. She is also the loudest. Aquarium officials describe her as playful and spunky. Despite her size, she seems to be ahead of the others in development. She was the first to open her eyes, leave the next box, and hit other milestones.
Pup #3
Our final otter pup is the shyest of the bunch. In fact her handlers say they are “waiting to see other personality traits” develop to know what makes her unique.

- Padma, Bulan & Melati (Indonesia’s three national flowers-the giant Padma, Anggrek ulan, the moth orchid, and Melati putih, the Arabian jasmine.)
- Tala, Reyna & Ula (bright star, queen and small one)
- Java, Bali & Nusa (volcanic islands in Indonesia)
