Attention: All Foodies! It’s time to ‘feast’ at some of the best restaurants the Queen City has to offer. Queens Feast:
Charlotte Restaurant Week is back from January 19-28, 2024.

I consider myself a ‘foodie’, so to be able to share my personal ‘food go-to’s’ is a real treat. By Webster’s definition, a ‘foodie’ is a person having an avid interest in the latest food fads. Well, I certainly fit the bill, but with one exception. The foods I like don’t have to be a ‘fad’, but just good food.

And believe it or not, there is actually a school in the Carolinas just for ‘foodies.’ You can learn more about “The Foodie School” here.

Back to the subject at hand. Charlotte Restaurant Week is the time of the year when food lovers (like me) get to sample some of the best of the best dishes in and around the Queen City. It’s also an opportunity to visit higher-end restaurants that may have pricier menu items than what you may be accustomed.

This time, Queen’s Feast has 100 restaurants participating that are spread across eight counties for you to try. Those restaurants include some of your tried and true legacy spots, while others are new and trendy locations. Whether you visit the old or the new, or if it’s an intimate dinner or friends and family gathering, all participating restaurants will offer special deals. The deal is a three-course, prix fixe dinner that ranges from $30 – $50 per person.

What has me so excited is the list of NEW restaurants added to this year’s Queen’s Feast. There are at least 20 new restaurants I want to try — starting with that new steak spot in uptown Charlotte STK Steakhouse. I hear not only is the food is incredible, it’s also the vibe which I”m told is high-energy.

Regardless, I have my map and strategy in place to take full advantage of this year’s Queen’s Feast. Check out some of the spots that will be featured. Bon Apetite! CLICK HERE for complete list of participating Queen’s Feast restaurants.

  • STK Steakhouse - Uptown Charlotte

One of my future favs. From what I hear, this is the go-to spot for date night or when you have friends in town you want to impress with great food and an even greater vibe! It gives off that ‘big city’ feel!

  • Figo36 Modern Italian - NoDa

Ah the taste of authentic Italian food. If this doesn’t give you the feel of comfort, I’m not sure what will. The food is so soft, creamy, and made fresh right there to every order. If you don’t go during this week, then you certainly should try it at some point this year.

  • State Of Confusion (Lower LoSo - South End)

If you want a taste of Latin American, New Orleans and Lowcountry AND made from scratch? This is the spot! Oh, and don’t forget to throw in some well-crafted specialty drinks, too! They also have a fabulous brunch menu I have heard great things about.

  • Rock Salt - Montford Park

I am all about the seafood, which is why I chose this spot. From the happy hour half price raw oysters to the half-priced wine days, I’m all in. If seafood is your thing, you’ll have to check out their crab and avocado toast! Divine!

  • Muraya Restaurant

This is considered one of Charlotte’s hot date night spots! The Colombian cuisine and ambiance gives way to everything ‘sexy and cool.’ The moody lighting and overall vibe makes you want to visit over and over again.
