Happy National Chicken Wing day. It’s a day to celebrate the appetizer most can’t seem to get enough of. In fact, National Day Calendar says each of us eats about 290 wings a year.
Whether it’s buffalo wings, hot wings, or just wings, Americans are consumed with this tasty morsel. Here’s a thought. A chicken has two wings, but why do we dissect the wing? We usually break it down into different parts. There is the wingette, drumette, and tip. Personally, I’m a flatback lover.
One of the most popular sauces for wings is ranch dressing. However, another go-to is bleu cheese. And of course, you can’t forget the celery, carrots, or other crunchy veggies that usually compliment the dish.
