Who Is the Brighter Day Community Choir?
Well, we did Clash of the Choirs and the people came through with all of their votes! That’s right, the Brighter Day Community Choir of Charlotte won the Clash of the Choirs bracket challenge we hosted on V101.9. The choir is a non-denominational Charlotte-based gospel choir singing their way through the hearts of the community.
The Brighter Day Community Choir of Charlotte was founded in the summer of 2021 by Zacch Estrada-Petersen. He served as the founder and director of the Voices of Eden Gospel Choir at UNC Charlotte for 16 years. With that being the case, Brighter Day is comprised largely of Voices of Eden alumni, with fellow church members, friends, friends of friends, and community members rounding out the balance. Our goal is to foster faith, community, and fellowship in the Greater Charlotte community using the gift of music.
Each year, they host a summer concert, Summer of Love, in which the community can come out and hear what the choir can do and it’s completely FREE. Check out a video from the Brighter Day Community Choir below. They can BLOW!
