Yung Miami Breaks Silence On Ex Diddy’s Allegations
Yung Miami finally broke her silence on the swirling allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse surrounding her ex, Diddy, by reviving her REVOLT series Caresha Please for a candid chat with friend and fellow rapper Saucy Santana on Thursday night (Aug. 8).
Santana jumped straight in, asking the City Girls rapper if Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, had ever laid a hand on her, referencing a 2016 surveillance video that resurfaced in May showing Combs assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Miami admitted she’d been in two abusive relationships before, but clarified she never faced domestic violence during her on-again, off-again stint with Diddy from 2021 to 2023.
She also explained why she chose not to comment on her ex’s allegations and legal troubles, including Ventura’s rapid-fire lawsuit and other emerging claims. “I can’t speak on something that wasn’t my experience and I can’t speak on something that I don’t know,” Yung Miami said, addressing her silence. “I can’t speak on these allegations because I wasn’t around at the time.”
Yung Miami also expressed frustration at being held accountable for Diddy’s alleged misconduct from before their relationship. “I met Diddy when the world was celebrating him and giving him his flowers while he was still alive,” she said, referring to his Global Icon Award and his 2023 MTV Video Music Awards performance. “So I was celebrating him with the world and I just feel like everybody is crucifying me for it.”
Since Ventura’s lawsuit was settled in November, multiple sexual assault suits against Diddy emerged, followed by federal raids on his Miami and Los Angeles homes in March. Although Diddy and his lawyers have consistently maintained his innocence, he posted and then deleted an apology video after the surveillance footage of himself and Cassie came out.
REVOLT, the platform behind Yung Miami’s Caresha Please, was founded by Diddy in 2013. He stepped down as chairman of the network in November and reportedly sold his stake to an anonymous buyer in March after the raids.
Yung Miami also opened up about her City Girls partner, JT, which fans had been eagerly waiting for. “We outgrew each other. Every time we got together, it just didn’t hit. She was working on her ish (music). I didn’t know. When we got on stage, that was [basically] the only time we would interact,” she shared.
She went on to explain her mindset behind branching out on her own “The group ain’t making no money, we ain’t working. We on two different pages. Video shoot…wardrobe…anything, we just weren’t connecting. (So I had to figure things out).”
Yung Miami also dropped some hints about her solo projects, promising new music and more exciting ventures ahead.
