Diddy Accused Of Blowing Up Kid Cudi’s Car Over Cassie
Casandra “Cassie” Ventura’s sexual assault lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs claims that the Bad Boy Records founder threatened to “blow up” Kid Cudi’s car in his driveway after finding a text exchange between him and Cassie. According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Diddy was “enraged” by the romance between the “Me And U” singer and Cudi back in 2012.
“Around that time, Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway,” the court documents read.
A spokesperson for Cudi backed up Cassie’s claim per The New York Times.
Cassie Files A Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against Diddy
Cassie claims that after she and Diddy met in 2005 — at the time the “Me and U” singer was 19 — “he began a pattern of control and abuse that included plying her with drugs, beating her and forcing her to have sex with a succession of male prostitutes while he filmed the encounters.”
She and Diddy had an on-and-off-again relationship for 11 years. During the end of their relationship, which dissolved in 2018, she claims that he forced himself into her home and raped her.
“After years in silence and darkness,” Ms. Ventura said in a statement, per The New York Times, “I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”
Cassie Gets Support From Social Media
Cassie and Diddy immediately began trending on X (formerly known as Twitter) once the lawsuit became public knowledge on Thursday (Nov. 16).
“Diddy was 37, and Cassie was 19 when he pursued her. The abuse she’s detailing in this suit is deeply saddening and heartbreaking,” one fan wrote. “I hope some folk reflect and understand why many of us insist they reassess the predatory dating practice of dating people much younger.”
D. Woods, who was a part of Diddy’s girl’s group Danity Kane, spoke out against the rapper and showed solidarity with Cassie.
“Self Worth, Peace of Mind and the Right to Speak your TRUTH…,” she wrote. “Cassie, you are incredibly brave to shine light on what you endured in the dark. Im sorry you had to go through it alone. Im praying for your continued strength, and I offer my full support to you.”
“Praying for Cassie and her family, for peace and healing. you are beautiful and brave,” Dawn Richards, another member of Danity Kane wrote in support of Cassie.
Aubrey O’Day, another member of Danity Kane and a Bad Boy Records artist, showed Cassie support on Instagram emphasizing that she has been warning people about Diddy for some time, “Been trying to y’all for years. Prayers up for this queen.”
Diddy’s Legal Team Responds To Cassie’s Sexual Assault Claims
Combs’ attorney, Ben Brafman, responded to Ventura’s claims in her suit. “Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail,” Brafman wrote.
He added: “Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.”
Cassie’s attorney denied those allegations, claiming that he offered to pay for the model’s silence.
“Mr. Combs offered Ms. Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit,” Douglas Wigdor, Ventura’s attorney, said. “She rejected his efforts.”
