Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty On House Arrest After Offset Threat
Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty has been ordered on house arrest after threatening Offset over the weekend. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Petty has been ordered to home detention for up to 120 days. The court documents state that he violated his federal probation by “making threatening remarks while in the company of someone with a criminal record.”

In a video posted to Offset’s social media, the rapper brushed off his threat. “I’m getting off a jet, he’s funny,” Offset said per a repost of the video on Baller Alert.

Legal reporter Meghann Cuniff tweeted about the case Here's a key line: "The supervisee and defense counsel consent to modification and waive a personal appearance before the Court."

This is not the first time Petty has had legal trouble. He was sentenced to three years probation in July 2022. Petty pleaded guilty after failing to register as a sex offender in California two years prior. He and Minaj moved to California from New York, where he was initially registered. In 1995, Petty was convicted of the first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl. He spent four years in prison in New York.
Nicki Minaj nor her husband Kenneth Petty have not publicly addressed the recent incident.
