Breathing Isn’t A Luxury
There are 670,000 North Carolinians living with asthma. This is the equivalent to the entire population of Boston. Not all but most of us breathe in and out about 22,000 times a day. The normal breathing rate for an adult at rest is 8 to 16 breaths per minute. For an infant, a normal rate is up to 44 breaths per minute. Since May is Asthma Awareness Month let’s talk about inhalers that save lives. NC MED ASSIST is a proud champion of giving access to life-saving medication, such as an inhaler at no cost to patients. NCMA has an URGENT NEED to purchase generic inhalers to help their patients, now and in the future. If we gift a donation of $111, we can help them breathe easier.
By giving $111 TODAY, you will help them reach the goal of providing more than 500 patients with the respiratory therapies they need, like inhalers. Over the next two weeks, during Asthma awareness month, many of us have committed to helping NC MedAssist reach its goal of supporting 500 patients through their Inhale. Exhale. Give. Share. campaign. NCMA has a goal to raise $55,000. Will you join in? Giving just $111 ensures our neighbors in need get this life-saving medication. NCMA is the only statewide non-profit pharmacy in North Carolina. Their various programs provide prescription and over-the-counter medications to our neighbors in need at no cost. This amazing nonprofit has a motto of no one should ever have to choose between purchasing food or buying their medicine.
