Jada Carter Crowned Miss Charlotte Mecklenburg 2023
Beauty pageants can be an esteem builder for young ladies to increase confidence. I started my daughter in pageants as early as 2 years old, and she ended up becoming an engineer. Jada Carter is a great example of beauty and brains. Carter is from Charlotte, North Carolina, and was crowned 2023 Miss Charlotte Mecklenburg. at the Miss Charlotte Mecklenburg Piedmont competition.
This pageant was held at JM Robinson High School Auditorium, in Concord, NC on February 4, 2023. The competition was a preliminary to qualify for competition in the Miss North Carolina 2023 competition in High Point in June 2023. Carter is committed to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Carter is aiming to shrink the gender gap by encouraging women and girls to pursue STEM careers. A third-year computer science major at Florida A&M University and 2020 Providence Day School graduate, Carter intends to empower girls and women of North Carolina to pursue careers in the STEM fields and shatter the glass ceiling. For Carter’s talent presentation, she used over fifteen years, of tap dancing to perform “Wanna Dance” by Whitney Houston.
