The Charlotte Post Foundation Celebrates 25th Anniversary
The Charlotte Post Foundation supports students with corrective educational services through after school programs in Title I Elementary Schools. The 25th annual banquet will be on October 08, 2022 at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown from 6pm to 9pm. The banquet attracts hundreds from both our local area as well as a far. The formal event is a must attend filled with delicious food, entertainment, and opportunity to network. This is a great non-profit helping students in Title 1 Schools. This organization awards college scholarships to eligible African American seniors in Mecklenburg and Wake Counties.
The event is a both inspiring and entertaining recognizing a top Educator within the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, two top African American seniors are provided scholarships, and a key community leader receives the luminary reward.
The after school program uses literacy learning tools for small groups of students who need support to achieve grade-level competency. The great things is that these tools are used during regular school hours. The school principals can select to participate in The Charlotte Post Foundation’s after school program. The principal also selects certified teachers who are familiar with the students and their needs to teach in the program. Each teacher is assigned five students and required to teach three hours per day, three days per week for a school year. The Charlotte Post Foundation exists to educate the Charlotte community about the inequities that impact African American youth.
