Mecklenburg County Has Housing and Homelessness Strategy Initiative
Mecklenburg County, Charlotte Mecklenburg Housing and Homelessness announced their Strategy Initiative. The Enduring Structure will be supported through Mecklenburg County Manager’s Office. The Community Support Services was created with United Way, that provide oversight, a program of work, staff and financial support.
This collaboration is with nonprofits, government, business, philanthropic and faith partners to connect with vulnerable neighbors. The Enduring Structure has two committees comprised of private sector representatives. Stacy Lowry is Director of Mecklenburg County’s Community Support Services, responsible for technical experts and practitioners from public and private sectors. The voices of those with lived experience of homelessness will be included on both.
