A$AP Rocky Arrested at LAX In Connection To 2021 Shooting
(UPDATE) April 20, 5:30 PM EST: Officers searched the home of A$AP Rocky Wednesday evening with a battering arm to get through the front gate, TMZ reported.
Law enforcement told the outlet that A$AP knew the alleged victim, and the alleged shooting happened after an argument between the two.
A$AP Rocky has been arrested Wednesday morning (April 20); he had flown in from Barbados to LAX on a private flight. He was detained in connection to a 2021 shooting Page Six reports.
Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, has been reportedly under investigation by the LAPD for his alleged involvement in a Nov. 6 shooting.
Mayers’ attorney, Alan Jackson, confirmed that his client had been arrested, per NBC.
According to police reports obtained by the outlet, the victim survived and later told police that the rapper was “walking with two others when he approached the man with a handgun on the street. The victim claimed Rocky shot at him three to four times and believed one of the bullets grazed his left hand.”
The shooting had not been made public.
