Issa Rae Shuts Down Pregnancy Rumor: ‘Let a B*tch Eat’

Issa Rae, co-creator of the hit HBO series Insecure, shut down rumors that she’s expecting her first child with husband Louis Diame.
A video showing Issa hugging her Insecure costar Yvonne Orji went viral as fans speculated that the actress was pregnant after her form-fitted dress showed a “baby bump.” She shut down the rumors with a simple tweet:
“I am not pregnant, f—youverymuch,” she wrote. “LET A BITCH EAT DRINK AND BE MERRY.”
In the clip, the actress is also holding what is assumed to be a glass of champagne as well.
The Insecure creator will be returning to HBO soon for her new comedy series Rap S—, which plot is described as, “following two estranged high school friends from Miami who come back together to form a rap group.”
