Your Streaming Habits
Do your streaming habits reflect sad, happy or drama filled movies? With the cold weather and wet roads outside, coupled with Covid-19, everyone has turned to streaming movies and shows. It seems like cable is out and streaming is in. In fact, it’s getting harder and harder to watch TV without streaming. 2018 marked the first year that there were more scripted original TV shows on streaming services than broadcast and basic cable. A recent study also found that more people in America subscribe to a streaming service than a traditional cable subscription.
There are so many different streaming services to choose from. Some focus more on movies, some television and some enjoy a great mix of both. Are you a fan of classic movies? Love old cartoons? Enjoy a sappy rom com? I’m sure there is a streaming service that caters to you. Netflix was the OG of streaming but now we have Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO max and many, many more. And with streaming still on the rise, more services will come along this year so be sure to keep your eye out for what’s to come. Each streaming service has a different mix of tv shows and movies so be sure you choose one (or more) that work for you. Even better most of the streaming sites, if not all, offer a free trial before you pay in order to see how you like it before signing up for a subscription. If you’re new to streaming, no need to worry, it’s much easier than it seems. To set up your TV for streaming you’ll need a reliable internet connection, a device or smart TV to stream on(Roku, firestick, Google Chrome) and most importantly, something good to watch. Simply plug in your streaming device, make sure you’re connected to the internet/WIFI, sign into your streaming service(s), find something to watch and voila! You’re ready to dive into the world of streaming and you can kiss your cable goodbye!
