10 Fall Things in 2020 You Can Do in Charlotte

Dear COVID-19, you are NOT going to take my favorite season from me. No sir, no ma’am.

Things might be WAY different this year due to COVID-19, but the Fall festivities must go on. COVID-19 may be able to take our bars, our gyms, and keep us trapped inside…but it won’t take our FALL SPIRIT! The kids are back in school, Halloween is just around the corner and we have the news you need to make this weekend filled with some Fall fun! Check out these 10 Fall things in 2020 you can still do in the Charlotte area. Stay safe and wear that mask!

• 1. Drink Some Pumpkin Beer

  Breweries are now open and following CDC guidelines so you can enjoy pumpkin beer! NoDa Brewing Co., Sycamore Brewing, and Catawba Brewing Co. all have variations of pumpkin beer for you to try.

• 2. Pumpkin Picking

  There are loads of farms where you can go and pick your own pumpkin in the Charlotte area. Some farms open for pumpkin picking include Hodges Family Farm, Millstone Creeks Orchard, Cotton Hills Farm, Hunter Farm and Wise Acres Organic Farm.

• 3. Stay Home and Make Candy Apples!

  Yes, it is as simple as that. A great way to enjoy fall is to make candy apples the safe way. You can DIY or you can find some easy pre-made kits at your local craft/grocery store. Traditional candy apples are great for the kids and taste great.
• 4. Corn Maze at Kersey Valley

  Opening this weekend, Kersey Valley Corn Maze Adventure offers a Corn Maze, Jumping Pillows, Tram Train to Sunflower Fields, Cow Train, Kersey Valley Express, Kiddie Ziplines, Rock Wall, Tree House Village & Dinosaur Discovery. They are following CDC guidelines!

• 6. Have A Halloween Movie Night

  Fall equals Halloween. (In my point of view) Host a virtual watch party with your friends and family and it will certainly get you in the Fall mood.
• 7. Go Apple Picking at Windy Hill Orchard & Cidery

  YAY, everything apple and not to far from the Queen City. Windy Hill Orchard & Cidery offers apple picking, apple cider donuts, alcholic /non-alcholic drinks and good old family fun.

• 8. See A Drive-In-Movie

  Man, I am so excited that drive-in-movies are back! In the Charlotte area you can enjoy the movie experience at The Music Yard, Old Town Cornelius and Hounds Drive-In just to name a few.

• 9. Visit A Museum in Charlotte

  Now in phase 2.5, Discovery Place, the Mint Museum, the Levine Museum are now all open. Please note, these are opening at 50% capacity following CDC guidelines.
