Try This Dishwashing Solution
Dishes are piling up quicker with everyone at home since shelter at home order came down the pipe. I actually like doing the dishes, versus putting them in the dishwasher. But, thank goodness for the invention of the dishwasher during the holidays! As an ode to my best friend right now, the dishwasher, I thought why not give it some love?
I was browsing Pinterest the other day & found a nice recipe for a cleaner for dishwashers. I know a lot of people swear by running the washer on hot and putting a cup of bleach on the top rack, but I would rather my house not end up smelling like bleach for days. This time I am going a more natural route by doing 1 cup of vinegar and ½ a cup of baking soda.
All you do is put your cup of vinegar on the top rack and run through on your hottest settings for a full cycle. Once that is done, you can go ahead and sprinkle the inside of your dishwasher with your baking soda, racks and all, then run your dishwasher through another full hot cycle. When that is finished, you can marvel at your nice fresh dishwasher.
