Thanksgiving Series: Organize The House
You might as well come to grips with the fact that Thanksgiving is here! Sometimes we get to host the festivities at our house and automatically, life starts getting stressful. From making sure the house is clean to host overnight guests, to finding hotel rooms for them, all that adds extra stress during the holiday season. There are 4 steps you can take to prepare for holiday gatherings!
-
Organize! Organize the house beforehand. Being in a cluttered house with a lot of people isn’t ideal. Declutter everything and get rid of things you don’t need! This also helps later on when spring cleaning comes around because you already decluttered.
-
Stock the kitchen! Especially if you have family staying with you from out of town. Make sure you have plenty of snacks and easy to make meals. Cinnamon rolls and hamburger helper are easy.
-
Have a budget! If you’re hosting the holidays, I’m sure you’re buying decorations and most of the food. Create a budget so you don’t go overboard. It’s easy to overbuy and spend too much money.
-
Don’t let difficult family members ruin it! If they are picky eaters, don’t base it around them. If they are negative, ignore it and bring out something positive. After all, it is the happiest time of the year.
Start with these 4 easy steps to have great holiday gatherings! Happy holidays.
